Huawei obtains world's first CC EAL4+ security certificate for 5G products

Madrid-- Huawei, the global leading provider of ICT technologies, has won the world’s first Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 4+ certificate for 5G products. This certificate indicates the security of Huawei 5G base station products reaches the world-leading level and can provide trusted security assurance for 5G wireless access.  CCN (Centro Criptologico National), a Spain certification authority, officially issued the certificate to Huawei 5900 Series 5G gNodeB software on May 20. The evaluation has been conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Spanish IT Security Evaluation and Certification Scheme, and the conclusions of the evaluation facility in the evaluation technical report are consistent with the evidence adduced, according to CCN.  CC certification is a widely recognized security certification in the world. Virgin Orbit's inaugural rocket launch fails

Virgin Orbit, the company founded by Richard Branson with the aim of launching smaller satellites, tried unsuccessfully on Monday to launch a rocket off the coast of Southern California. It was the company's first test launch of a new rocket, which had been in development for five years, The Associated Press reports. The rocket was released from a jet dubbed Cosmic Girl, and dropped over the Pacific Ocean. In a statement, Virgin Orbit said it could confirm a "clean release from the aircraft. However, the mission terminated shortly into the flight. Cosmic Girl and our flight crew are safe and returning to base." The company did not say what went wrong, but stated it will "learn more as our engineers analyze the mountain of data we collected today." The rocket carried a test satellite, but the purpose of the flight was to gather data on each step of the launch process. Over the weekend, Virgin Orbit executive Will Pomerantz said roughly half of all first rocket launches fail, and company CEO Dan Hart said after…

Dominic Cummings said he believed he acted "reasonably" and within the law after driving 260 miles from London to Durham in March. At a press conference in Number 10 Downing Street's garden, Mr Cummings said he made the trip over fears of a lack of childcare if he came too ill with Covid-19 to look after his young boy. He also revealed concerns about his family's safety but said despite the backlash, he had "not considered" resigning.

This year, people in Oklahoma City will be able to interact with individuals experiencing homelessness in a new, high-tech way. Starting in July, City Care will begin rolling out an information campaign around a pilot program with a Seattle-based app company called Samaritan to offer a platform for community members to financially support a small group of people experiencing homelessness. “I think we will see success,” said City Care CEO Adam Luck. “I feel that in Oklahoma City, we’ve seen an increased awareness and interest in what is happening in our community in relation to our neighbors without homes.” The goal is to have the program up and running by the end of this year.

President Trump spent part of Memorial Day taking shots at Rep. "Sean Parnell is an American Hero," Trump tweeted. "Connor Lamm has proven to be an American fraud, and a puppet for Crazy Nancy Pelosi. He said he would NOT vote for her for Speaker, and did. Will kill 2A. Voted to impeach (on nothing). A TOTAL & COMPLETE Sean Parnell Endorsement!" Lamb was one of more than a dozen Democrats to not vote for Pelosi as speaker of the House in 2019. In response, Lamb tweeted that Trump and other Republicans have been "lying about my record since the day I became a candidate. It hasn't stopped, and it won't stop, until we beat them at the ballot…
