KARLSRUHE, Germany (AP) — A German court has ruled that Volkswagen must buy back cars from owners of its diesel cars equipped with software that evaded emissions testing — but consumers must accept the current value of the car based on the mileage they drove since buying it, not the purchase price.Volkswagen said the decision announced Monday would clear the way for settlement of remaining consumer claims in Germany. The decision affects some 60,000 individual claims brought by car owners there; around 262,000 others have already been covered by an 830 million-euro ($904 million) class-action settlement.“For the majority of the 60,000 pending cases, this ruling provides clarity,” the company said in a statement.

Trump blocks travel from Brazil after coronavirus cases surge
President Trump on Sunday said the United States would suspend travel from Brazil, after a surge in coronavirus cases made the South American nation one of the world's hotspots. Brazil now has more than 22,000 deaths and 347,000 confirmed cases, the second most after the U.S., which has recorded nearly 100,000 COVID-19 deaths. Trump had already banned some travelers from China, Europe, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Iran, but not from Russia, which has the third highest number of coronavirus cases. White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany called the Brazil restrictions another "decisive action to protect our country." Filipe Martins, who advises Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on international affairs, said the travel ban wasn't "anything specifically against Brazil. Ignore the hysteria of the press." The ban will go into effect Thursday, and will not apply to legal permanent residents or their spouses, parents, or children. The ban does not apply to trade. Read more at The Associated Press. ‘Eid In Lockdown – We’re Still Going To Dress Up And Make It Joyous’
Celebrations may look different during lockdown, but Muslims are determined to mark the end of fasting safely. “It is like having a month of real hardship and toil without the celebration at the end. It does feel like a real sacrifice not to have the momentous occasion of Eid as we know it.” Khader Khan, a renowned writer, poet, social activist sum up how thousands of Muslims across Hyderabad will be feeling as they mark a very different Eid this weekend following a month of fasting during Ramadan. Eid-al-Fitr is the date when Muslims worldwide celebrate the end of fasting and it is usually a joyous occasion filled with brightly-coloured new outfits, food and communal festivities. But the Covid-19 pandemic means people won’t be able to meet and interact with those outside their households this year.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:20 P.M.) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a message addressed to Muslims of the United States on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, affirmed that Jerusalem is a red line for the entire Islamic world. Erdogan said, in a video message to congratulate the Muslims of the United States on Eid Al-Fitr on Sunday: “I ask God that these blessed days be a precursor to a period of reassurance, peace and security for Muslims in America and the Islamic world and humanity as a whole.” Erdogan continued: “I would like to confirm once again that Jerusalem is a red line for the Muslims of the world … We will not accept the granting of Palestinian lands to anyone.” “Unfortunately, blood and tears continued to flow in many parts of the Islamic world without interruption during the holy month of Ramadan, too,” he continued.

'Dominic Cummings Was Lurking Here': Barnard Castle joke blue plaque pokes fun at alleged visit
A fake blue plaque has appeared in Barnard Castle poking fun at Dominic Cummings' alleged visit to the town during the lockdown period. The prime minister's chief advisor travelled to County Durham in March to self-isolate with his family while official guidelines warned against long-distance journeys, apparently because he feared that he and his wife would be left unable to care for their son. Mr Cummings is accused of travelling to Barnard Castle - something he has neither confirmed nor denied - while staying at a property adjacent to his parents' home in Durham. Barnard Castle is around 30 miles from where Mr Cummings was staying, meaning if he had travelled to the town on April 12, it would have been against the lockdown restrictions. The sign on the wall in the town reads: "DOMINIC CUMMINGS WAS LURKING IN THESE PARTS, 12.04.2020."

The Muslim social is a film genre that centres around Muslim society. The films tell a story from a Muslim perspective and dwell on the old world culture as well as the social and political changes that are influencing the Muslim society and are bringing out a change within it. The new wave Muslim socials portray the struggles of middle-class Muslims who find themselves fighting economic downturn, communalism and discrimination in a changing India. These officers stressed that “Hezbollah does not dig new tunnels after the destruction of those discovered on the border with Lebanon, as it understands the capabilities of the Israeli Army to discover any new tunnels.” Last Thursday, the Israeli Army revealed a plan “winds of the sky” to train its ground forces in war scenarios in the northern region on the Syrian and Lebanese fronts. Why you need a Hot Stoned Massage at Calabash Spa
A hot stone massage is a type of massage therapy. It’s used to help you relax and ease tense muscles and damaged soft tissues throughout your body. During a hot stone massage, smooth, flat, heated stones are placed on specific parts of your body. The stones are usually made of basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat. After the COVID -19 pandemic lockdown, any person can visit the Calabash Spa and Saloon along Wampewo Avenue Kololo to relax and ease those muscles that could have been damaged as a result of too much sitting as a result of the Stay Home Stay Safe lockdown. Hot massage stones are placed along one’s spine, stomach, chest, face, palms, feet and toes. A trained massage therapist holds heated stones as they massage one’s body using Swedish massage techniques like long strokes, circular movements, vibration, tapping and kneading.

8 year old boy quarantined
AN eight-year-old boy who returned into the country unaccompanied through Victoria Falls border last week has been quarantined in a hotel room. The boy entered the country unaccompanied on Friday from Livingstone in Zambia and could not join his mother who lives in Victoria Falls, in line with Covid-19 regulations that every returning citizen should be isolated for 21 days as part of preventive measures against the pandemic. He is one of the two people who are quarantined at Phezulu Lodge, a new facility identified by the Matabeleland North Covid-19 taskforce to cater for returning citizens who opt not to be accommodated at the conventional centre at Mosi-oa-Tunya High School when the majority are housed. At Phezulu lodge, the boy’s rentals are being paid for by his mother. The other returnee is an adult male also paying for himself.
